Tara Smelt is a Californian woman, born in 1959. She worked as a waitress until she met film producer Jeffrey Meena in 1980. She married him as quickly as possible specifically for the purpose of having unlimited money. By the late 80's she became worried with the riskiness of Jeffrey's investments in Western African film, and divorced him, and in the ensuing complications and a fair amount of begging by Jeffrey, earned $200 million dollars from the process. She spent a few years away from Jeffrey, but then decided to devote her life to getting more money out of him, becoming one of the major players in the Crimson Bean Controversy.
