The Venti Super Dalasi was the only car ever designed, produced and sold by The Gambia. In 1996, Yahya Jammeh ordered the Gambian Trades Commission to develop a cheap and affordable car that could be mass produced and become the most common car in the Gambia. There were also plans for a Trenta version of the car; a larger utility version of the car and the Grande; a smaller, more fuel-effecient version. Over 2000 units of the car were sold to the public by 2016, but once the Great Caffeinated Death happened and Adama Barrow took over the government, all production of the car in its original colors was stopped.
