Luca Kombo
Luca Salvia Kombo founded KOMBO at age 18 in 1937 which made him one of the few wealthy Gambian men until he died in the Great Caffeinated Death in 2016. He was born in 1919 to Ghiaccio and Nero Kombo in Florence, Italy. In his early childhood, he immigrated to the Gambia where Luca founded KOMBO, a convenience store that specialized in coffee. Following his death, his son Leonne Kombo took over the family business and struggled to keep it going without coffee in the Gambia.
