A Mummy is a powerful being that has purposefully entered a state of peace and dormancy induced by balancing high quantities of both Fertility and Sterility into a single physical body.

Typically, Fertility and Sterility cancel one another out, and in high quantities these interactions can destroy physical matter imbued with these traits. It is, however, possible to hold high quantities of both in a single body. This requires constant energy, however, and can lead to catastrophe if failed. For example, the 4th Great Pyramid of Giza was destroyed when its pharaoh failed to uphold its eternal balance.
