The Temple of Burong is a five-dimensional construct erected by the Friendly Council by removing the space-time around Burong at ±17i-5600–5599j from reality and sealing it away outside time within the time loop of the First Sinking of Burong.

The temple was built to contain the Chimney Man. In a sense, time was His prison, and reality His shackles. Of course, He would continuously exert His influence in an attempt to degrade the seals imprisoning Him, but was unable to escape on His own due to them reverting to their original state at the start of the loop. Conversely, the seals would be at their weakest—and the Chimney Man at His strongest—close to the end of the loop, which happened to fall on 24 December.

Due to the temple being contained within a time loop, it is nigh impossible for outside forces to interact with. However, there are exceptions to this: exceptionally powerful beings, such as 𒀭𒄑𒉋𒂵𒎌 are able to freely enter or exit the loop. Additionally, Martin Gruber’s ability, Door of All Doors, which grants him control over the concepts of ‘opening’ and ‘closing’, allows him to ‘open’ a ‘door’ to the temple. This is how Dagobert Winter and company were able to enter the temple and inadvertently unseal the Chimney Man.

Those sealed within the loop remain, save for the Chimney Man, naturally unaware of the true nature of their existence.
