James Marley "Jim" Gibson is British-Syrian writer who moved to the Gambia in 1987 following several Sinkings of Burong. He began writing novels and screenplays of his experiences in the Gambia. He was picked up by Meena Productions in 2007 to write films pertaining to the life and culture of the Gambia.
