Dagobert Joachim Heinz-Ephraim Winter was a German sumerologist and archeologist whose expeditions in Northern Africa and the Middle East in the early 20th century ended up releasing the Chimney Man from his nigh-7000-year imprisonment at the hands of the Friendly Council. This and the events surrounding it are documented in The Travels of Dagobert Winter.
