The Wet Amalgam is a planet-sized mass of Wet Ghoul located somewhere near -9i+727j.

Despite lacking cognitive capacity almost entirely, the Amalgam is nevertheless extant. It is incapable of conscious movement and instead drifts about on the Imaginary Plane between -8.7i+698j and -9.1i+731j. It cannot be said to be capable of communication, but those in Its proximity will find their senses assailed by a sensation often likened to a continuous low-pitched droning sound.

This ‘sound’ is not a form of attack and instead serves as Its defence mechanism, intensifying in ‘volume’ the closer one gets to It and effecting a destabilisation of Entanglement in the listener. Deafness as well as any attempt at protection against it are useless as the ‘sound’ is not a simple physical wave that merely ‘heard’, but rather a preternatural distortion caused by continuously fluctuating and self-overlapping resonances attuned to an individual’s Entanglement. Upon entering a radius of 500 000 km around the Amalgam, any entangled being will suffer a severe inversion of their Entanglement should they fail to leave Its proximity within 43 attoseconds of their entering, thus being granted immediate Super Death, with what little remains of them afterwards subsequently being assimilated by the Amalgam.

Unlike ordinary Wet Ghouls, which are preyed upon by Timeless Beings, It does not fear them, in part because It is incapable of sensation, but mainly because Timeless Beings, too, are entangled and thus victim to the ‘sound’ upon entering Its proximity. Even Uk'aj chuuk waj Itself could do naught but flee when Its path almost intersected with that of the Amalgam near -8.97i+722j.
